Listening to you (even more)

Hi everyone!

As part of our latest release we’ve updated and improved our Customer Support section.  While we realize that support is not necessarily the sexiest part of Ovi.com, it is definitely one of, if not the most important part of the site for our users.  If you do have occasion to check it out at http://www.ovi.com/support please take a couple of minutes to let us know what you think using our survey.  It’ll take you less than 5 minutes (we promise!) and will help us to help you that much more.

You can find the survey here: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=3N4t_2fDwnsUdFmrWVtsF7zg_3d_3d

Kiitos,

-Matt

We’re listening

Hi everyone and allow me to introduce myself as well as join Aapo in welcoming you to Ovi.com. My name is Matt Mizenko and I head product management for Ovi.com and Ovi.mobi.

I’m fresh back from CES in Las Vegas where I had a chance to meet a number of our users and talk to them about Ovi. We have been working on Ovi for just over a year and I am very pleased to now be able to share more about Ovi with you on our new blog as well as hearing back from you – our users. From the very earliest concept, we committed to listening to people who have an opinion about Ovi and how it works. It has been very useful to read people’s comments on blogs like All About Symbian, Symbian Guru, Mobile Burn, Howard Forums and many others. Thank you.

Now that we have the first wave of Ovi pieces live — Ovi.com, Files, Share, Nokia Ovi Suite, Ovi.mobi and Maps — please let us know what you like and what’s a real pain. Also, send us your wish list: what is it you would like to see with Ovi? How would you like to see the different pieces of the Ovi system work together? How would you like to see Ovi work with your favorite online services and social networks?

We look forward to hearing from you soon and sharing the evolving Ovi journey with you as it unfolds. Meanwhile…

Pidä hauskaa!

-Matt

Hello, moi

Welcome to the blog where we post the latest on all things Ovi, straight from where it’s happening.

It’s been just a bit over a year since the Ovi initiative was announced. It’s hard to believe it’s been only a year as so much has happened. We have launched Share on Ovi and Files on Ovi. Ovi.com has gone live with Sync functionality for Calendar, Contacts and Notes. We have both announced and released Nokia Ovi Suite. And we have released Maps on Ovi in beta. We also brought Share on Ovi under the Nokia Account just as 2008 was drawing to a close.

The world of Ovi is truly the hotbed of creativity at Nokia today. Even so much that it’s sometimes hard to keep up with everything that’s happening. We have been thrilled to learn that already in this early phase there are quite a few people who passionately want to stay up to date with what we are cooking for Ovi. We couldn’t have dreamed of that a year ago. To engage with you better is why we decided to set up a blog.

In the Ovi blog we:

  • Make it easy to stay up to date with all things Ovi
  • Provide access to Beta phase services we are not yet actively marketing on the site
  • Tell behind-the-scenes stories of Ovi developments
  • Provide you a channel to interact with the Ovi team

Only people actually building the Ovi services will be posting in the blog. While this means the story might be a bit rough around the edges, we want to give an open, transparent way to affect where Ovi is going.

Welcome to take Ovi forward with us. Let’s create something amazing together.

Aapo
