Confession time: Files is my favorite Ovi service. It really is. I know you’re supposed to love all your kids equally, but I’m only human! A lesser known fact about me is that I’m actually still in school (HSE all the way, woot!) and Files pretty much got me through the recent writing of my master’s thesis. So I thank you for that, Files.
Anyway, back to the post. Sun Tzu (below) is of course known for writing the very famous book “The Art of War”, which tackled the issues of military strategy and management of conflicts. He was also a heroic general for the ancient Chinese king Helü of Wu who reportedly won many battles with Sun Tzu’s help. But enough about that guy: the real reason I wanted to make a post about Sun Tzu was, of course, so that I could post this:
Click! (SFW, albeit a bit disturbing)
Now, my life is complete.
Oh right, here’s this week’s Tweet!
…

@Wu Zixu Looks interesting. Could use it Chu invasion. RT @KingHeluofWu: Know U’re super busy & stuff, but could U look at draft of my new book? Called “The Art of War”. Way excited about it! I’ll send a copy via Ovi. #ArtofWar
This is another interesting tweet! Im just curious about the source of the image. Are these images posted here were taken by Ovi Team or copied from the web? It might be informative if there is information about the source of the images or the photographer name below the tweet. Im just worried that ovi members might just copy historical tweets photos available on the web without acknowledging the source of the images. I think it should be clear about “copyright” issue prior to posting…
i really like your humour but too much joking is going around.
ovi blog should also talk about developments taking place in nokia like talking about n900 and also about suing of apple by nokia
it will surely make ovi blog more interesting
Hahah! Hilarious quote by “Sun Tzu”.
rohan, has a point but I don’t think it’s sensible to talk about ongoing legal procedures. Let the courthouses decide and then we can discuss here as much as you want.
Regarding the N900 and Ovi, yes I would love to see a treating. Moreover I would like to know which services will be compatible right on launch and which not.
Hi guys,
Thanks for the comments!
Reymos: All the images have been found online, yes, but at least during our preliminary check all the images we’ve used were “free game”, as in, not owned by anyone personally. That’s the beauty of (most) historical characters, no one has copyright over them, ha!
But thanks for pointing that out, and I’ll definitely double check the copyrights issues of all our possible future Tweets.
Rohan: There can never be too much joking going around!!
But seriously though, the Ovi Blog is indeed where “News, views and responses from the people behind Ovi” are published and will continue being published. I don’t know why there has been less of the kind of posts you mentioned (e.g. about the N900), I’ll forward the message to the admins. But in the meantime, consider me the Ovi Blog hijacker!
First the Ovi Blog, then the world! *goes back to crafting evil master plan*
Kensai: Welcome back, Kensai! Glad to see you’re digging Sun Tzu’s tweet!
Any comments on the past couple of weeks’ Tweets?
Thanks for the updates. I cant wait who will be the next featured Ovi tweets personality!
HI OVI BLOG HIJACKER
I REALLY NEED YOU TO SEE THIS PAGE
http://www.symbian-guru.com/welcome/2009/10/friday-fun-shopping-at-the-ovi-store.html
THE SUMBIAN GURU HAS SEVERLY CRITICISED THE OVI STORE AND I THINK HE HAS A POINT SINCE THEY ARE A VERY APPS FOR SYMBIAN 5TH EDITION PHONES.BUT FORUM NOKIA HAS DESCRIBED IT A SUCCESS.
To publish apps for ovi store the nokia people are charging 50euro which is too much. They should charge only 1 euro in these times of recession.Just look at mobile9.com, you can upload apps for free and it has 8 billion downloads FOR SUMBIAN PLATFORM and more being added every day and also it is free of any viruses. If 10 million people would publish apps for the ovi store nokia will easily get 10 million euros
Hey there, Rohan!
Yup, I’ve seen the video
About 10 people sent it to me over the weekend, LOL! I think it’s funny as hell, but then again, I find a lot of things funny..
That’s a good point you made there about the price of publishing apps, and I’ll absolutely definitely forward your comment to whoever is working more closely with the matter. Have you tried to contact anyone in the Store team about this directly? I think someone else mentioned this a while back here as well… But anyway, thanks for the info, Rohan & keep coming back to the Blog!
@niini
how can i contact store team directly??i have already told them in forum nokia but they say i should complain in nokia discussion.in nokia discussion the response are poor or not givn at all
Rohan, http://www.nokia.com/discussions is a peer-to-peer troubleshooting forum where you can meet and ask help from thousands of other Nokia and Ovi users. So it’s not really the place to complain to Nokia, but to get solutions and help from others.
To get a personal reply from Ovi Support, contact them by email at
